Van depreciation calculator

Project how much your van will be worth in future years. Based on published depreciation data and typical mileage patterns.

Depreciation calculator tool will be placed here.
Inputs: model/segment, fuel, purchase price (optional), purchase date, annual mileage, years to project.
Output: year-by-year table and chart showing estimated trade value, £ lost per year, % retained.

How van depreciation works

New vans lose value fastest in the first 3 years, then depreciation slows. A typical medium van (like a Ford Transit Custom or VW Transporter) might retain 32–46% of its original list price at 3 years/60,000 miles.

Projection, not a guarantee

This calculator projects future values based on historical depreciation patterns. It's not a guarantee of what your van will be worth—actual values depend on market conditions, your van's specific condition, service history, and demand at the time of sale.
